1. The Thread Adapter in this kit has no flange and installs from the INSIDE of the dropout due to the convexity of the outer fork leg on the KTM fork. The Thread Adapter comes with low-strength non-hardening threadlocker pre-applied to the threads. The fork threads must be clean and dry before screwing in the adapter from the inside of the fork leg until it is flush with the inner dropout face. Use a small coin such a penny or nickel engaged in the two notches, adding an adjustable wrench if necessary for more torque. A hair dryer or heat gun can be used to heat and soften the threadlocker if necessary.

2. Use grease on o-ring of thru hole insert and install into fork from the OUTSIDE with a combined pushing and twisting motion. Do NOT use thru axle to drive thru hole insert into the fork.
